ORLANDO, Florida—Mojo Interactive, an Internet marketing and lead generation company, donated 20 trees to The Nature Conservancy’s project Plant A Billion (http://www.plantabillion.org) in observance of Earth Day and their own 10 year anniversary.
“This Earth Day is particularly meaningful for us because it’s our 10th year in business and we’re focusing more than ever on social responsibility,” said Glen Lubbert, Mojo Interactive’s founder and CEO. “Our hope is that this will have a positive impact on the environment now and have a lasting impact on future generations. They’ll be breathing cleaner air 100 years down the road.”
Plant A Billion aims to plant one billion trees in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil, which is considered one of the world’s most endangered tropical forests, with only seven percent of its original area remaining today. The organization plans to restore 2.5 million acres of land over the next seven years. This reforestation effort would remove 10 million tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere every year – equivalent to taking two million cars off the road.
“It is essential that companies give back,” said Lubbert. “If you treat your community and your customers well, business success will follow.”
