Mojo Interactive Manpower finishes Kids House of Seminole Healing Path

Orlando, FL November 9, 2010 – Mojo Interactive, an Orlando-based Internet company, has been donating manpower to the Kids House of Seminole, Inc. to complete a walking path behind the facility. Employees of Mojo Interactive were granted two days off work to volunteer at the Kids House to finish building a path that was started by Sean Owens as part of an Eagle Scout project.

“Mojo has made an incredible contribution to Kids House, both financially and through volunteer time,” said Marcie Dearth, Development Director of Kids House. “We are so blessed to partner with them and finally complete our healing path.”

Kids House is a non-profit organization with a mission to prevent child abuse and help child abuse victims and their families by providing a safe, supervised, child-friendly environment until the situation is resolved.

“Kids House is a great place for abused children to get the care they need and is a place where the community can get involved to contribute in so many ways,” explains Ron Fischer, Senior Vice President of Mojo Interactive. “Our Mojo team wants to give back, and Kids House is such a great provider of a much needed critical service.  Mojo and Kids House hope more businesses will get involved.”

The Kids House healing path leads out of the house and into a scenic area around a pond where children, families and counselors can relax and reflect after a stressful situation.

In addition to its volunteer work with Kids House, Mojo Interactive has raised money for the American Cancer Society, annually participates in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, sponsors families for Christmas through Catholic Charities, and annually contributes to the AIDS LifeCycle. The company allows each employee to take one paid day off each year to volunteer their time in the community.

Kids House also provides professional training programs and workshops for mandated abuse reporters in the community and also hosts the annual Promise to Protect Breakfast, its largest fundraising event.
